BLAKE SERENADES AT THE AYALA MALLS

This October, get ready to fall in love as Ayala Malls once again showcase the best live entertainment of talented international musical acts. Get ready to be swooned as classical-pop quartet Blake serenade Manila with a series of live performances at your favorite Ayala Malls.

Just 6 months after reuniting as friends on Facebook, Blake launched their first album in 2007. With a mix of eclectic, classical and pop songs combined with rich, harmonious vocals, the public embraced their debut album immediately. It went straight to Number One in the UK Classical Album Chart, with over 100,000 copies sold in just three weeks, earning the group their first Gold Disc and hit Number 18 in the UK Pop Album Chart.

Produced by Stephen Lipson, Blake’s much anticipated 2nd album 'And So it Goes' features alternative cover versions from a wide variety of highly acclaimed modern artists such as Snow Patrol and Katie Melua. The album has captured the hearts of a devoted and fast growing fan base across the globe and went straight to Number 12 in the UK pop charts and Number 1 in the Australian Classical chart with their version of ‘Chasing Cars’ becoming the most popular cover on i-Tunes. After forming their new record label Blake Records, the band released their 3rd album 'Together'. The album went straight to No.2 in the UK Classical Album Chart, Number 18 in the Pop Chart, Number 1 in the Australian Classical charts for 4 weeks and Number 1 in the South Africa Classical Charts during the World Cup.

During this success, their version of ‘Swing Low’ was chosen as the Official Anthem of the 2007 Rugby World Cup. During the opening ceremony at Wimbledon, the band performed a rousing rendition of their 1492 Conquest of Paradise. The group has also performed on three occasions at Wembley Stadium for major national and international football matches. Their original track, Beautiful Earth, was selected by the World Wildlife Fund as their Earth Hour Anthem. Blake was also invited to turn ‘off’ the lights across London from Trafalgar Square, to support the campaign to stop energy wastage.

With over half a million albums sold, Blake continues to build their reputation as one of the most eclectic and exciting pop-classical groups in the world. Bringing their next stop of world domination to the Philippine shores, Blake will perform live at selected Ayala Malls. Catch them up close at The Gallery in Greenbelt 5 on October 21 at 6:30 PM, Alabang Town Center Activity Center on October 22 at 6:00PM and at the Activity Center of Ayala Center Cebu on October 23 at 6:30PM.
