BATCH 80 2ND GIFT GIVING FOR FIRE VICTIMS of Mayhaligue, Tondo

BATCH 80 2ND GIFT GIVING FOR FIRE   VICTIMS of Mayhaligue, Tondo

Date: May 16, 2026

As part of the 3rd project of Batch 80 set of officers, we decided  for "Lend a hand" project to support families who lost their homes and belongings due to fire. We aimed to provide immediate assistance and distributed food supplies like canned goods and other non-perishable food items & some clean, usable used clothes.

A total of 100 families, prioritizing BATCH 80 families & Arellano High School graduates are the one who benefited. Thanks to Sally Pedreno , Ara Pusong & Mam Dennie Mont Garduque  who selected/screened & distributed tickets, plus the Batch 80 sets of officers who bought & assisted in gift giving on that day. Thank you too Ms Josephine Chua, and Janette Valdez for the support.

It was really a success, and we  are thankful of course with the volunteers and donors. It continues our goal of helping our batchmates in need and shows our commitment to serving them.

I would also like to congratulate our Batch 80 President Jeneve Busa Datugan as the newly elected PRO for 2026-2027 & adviser Rick Banta as the newly elected Vice President  of our ARellano High School Alumni.

In response to the recent fire incident in Mayhaligue St. Tondo, Manila  last April 30, 2026, a gift-giving and relief operation was conducted to extend immediate assistance to the affected families. The activity aimed to provide essential items and moral support to those who lost their homes and belongings.

This initiative was made possible through the collaborative effort and unity of the following groups:

Exact Training Center,  Golden Success, plus individual donors of  City Smashers and  Arellano High School Batch '80 headed by Sir Rene Sangalang  together with Mam Teresita Y. Marcos, MSBM, Chairman of the Board, Jeanne Y. Torio, President and AHS Batch 80 officers joined forces to pool resources, manpower, and efforts to ensure that help reached the community in need.

Last May 4, 2026, we visited the place and  come up with the list of our batchmates and their relatives as our top priority.

Today,  May 5, 2026, the gift giving event was held at San Jose De Trozo Church, Masangkay, Tondo as the central distribution point. Officers of Batch 80, including our previous Presidents  (Sir Rene Sangalang, Mam Cristina Gomez &  Sir Jerry Alvarez ) worked together to distribute goods to the residents of Mayhaligue. The activity was conducted smoothly with the spirit of bayanihan and compassion, bringing smiles and hope to the beneficiaries despite their difficult situation.

We extend our deepest gratitude to  EXACT TRAINING CENTER, Golden Success and other individual  members of Arellano High School Batch '80 for their generosity, dedication, and active participation. Special mention of course to Ms Sally Pedreno  and Lita Laquiste for helping us with the list. Together, we have proven that unity and kindness can make a significant difference in the lives of others.

Thank you very much to everyone who made this project possible.
