MYX, the country’s No.1 music channel, proudly named its newest music video ambassador in the 2011 MYX VJ Search finals night held last Wednesday (July 27) at The Block activity center, SM City North Edsa.
Despite the heavy rains brought by typhoon “Juaning”, fans gathered at the venue to witness the historic announcementof the newest MYX VJ and the performances of the MYX VJ themselves, band Maldita, Callalily lead vocalist Kean Cipriano and electronica music-artist Somedaydream.
The 12 MYX VJ Search finalist also showed of their confidence on the catwalk, as a mini-fashion show showcasing SM accesories was held. They also enthralled everyone with their dance number.
Now on its fifth year, the MYX VJ Search have produced well-loved hosts like sophomore VJs Chino Lui Pio, Blanca Roque and Janine Ramirez, and freshman Robin Nievera. Senior VJs Luis Manzano, Nikki Gil and Iya Villania are now well-recognized as hosts and are busy hosting more than one show on MYX and ABS-CBN.

The “Bidang Kapamilya” are everyday Pinoys who barely face life’s challenges no matter how hard they get. They are the market vendors, the teachers in far-flung areas, the laborers, stuntmen, garbae and junk collectors, farmers, senior citizens, people with disability, among others.
