BPI INTRODUCES BEA

BEA, which stands for BPI Express Assist, is one of newest, pioneering innovations being rolled out by Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) to its branches.

BPI Express Assist - the country's first fully-automated transaction assist platform - allows bank customers to enter transaction data and needed service on touch-screen machines for a wide range of transactions including cash and check deposits, withdrawals, bills payment, BIR and SSS payments. A queue number is generated, and customers can sit in comfort while waiting for their turn at the teller.  The transaction is automatically transmitted to the teller, ensuring accuracy and cutting down processing and waiting time.  The queue number is also called electronically, with the number appearing in a television screen and showing which teller the customer should go to.

BEA not only automates standard bank transactions but, more importantly, streamlines processes and cuts transaction time for customers.  With this, BEA provides customers with a much better banking experience by eliminating long queues at the banking counter, as well as eradicating the need to use deposit, withdrawal, and payment slips.

Taking a cue from its 160th anniversary, the bank will be staging a unique experiential event on August 13, Saturday, at the BPI Makati- Main branch, with a race entitled "Can You Do it 160 Seconds?" Participants (Media) will be taking on the challenge of completing standard bank transactions such as cash deposits, check deposits, withdrawals, and bill payments, within 160 seconds using BEA, in a transactions relay race.
