SET THE STAGE FOR YOUR CHILD’S
SUCCESS WITH MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCE
April 16, 2013 — Consistent with its commitment to promote the importance of multiple intelligence in a child’s early developmental stage, Wyeth Nutrition through Progress Pre-School GOLD recently held an event to bring back Dr. Thomas Armstrong, Ph.D. a respected educator and psychologist in the field of multiple intelligence, and introduce the brand’s newest brand ambassador.
Wyeth Nutrition flew in Dr. Armstrong, Executive Director of the American Institute for Learning and Human Development, who has conducted extensive studies on the importance of multiple intelligence in the early developmental stages of children. Dr. Armstrong says that intelligence is much more than IQ because a higher IQ in the absence of productivity does not equate to intelligence.
“We are all born with the capacity for the the 7 types of Multiple Intelligences—self, people, picture, logic, music, body and word but certain intelligences develop in different ways, and some at certain points of a child's life,” explains Dr. Armstrong. “Intelligence is much broader than IQ. Stimulating the different types of intelligences prepares kids for the future.”
Dr. Amstrong and the concept of Multiple Intelligence has created many believers including prominent actress Dawn Zulueta, the newest brand ambassador for Progress Pre-School GOLD, who has realized that focusing on high grades for her child is no longer enough.
“We are excited to bring Dr. Armstrong back to the Philippines to discuss the importance of multiple intelligence in the early stages of a child’s development as well as to introduce our newest Progress Pre-School GOLD brand ambassador Dawn Zulueta, a mom who understands that success is not guaranteed by test scores alone,” says Abbiegail Bella Jaro, Wyeth Nutrition Group Product Manager.
In its mission to raise awareness on multiple intelligence, Progress Pre-School GOLD ventures into promoting holistic health in preschool children by offering a scientifically designed growing up milk formula to support a child’s multi-dimensional development.
“In this fast-paced ever changing world, our children are like sponges as they learn to adapt to change. Today’s modern moms are now recognizing that focusing on only one dimension of a child’s development is not enough. The key to their child’s success is through a holistic approach on multiple intelligence,” says Rachel Francisco, Progress Pre-School GOLD Senior Product Manager.
On Dawn Zulueta being the perfect brand ambassador for Progress Pre-School Gold, the actress shares Progress Pre-School GOLD’s vision of encouraging holistic health and multiple intelligence, two important factors that help children succeed inside and outside of school. Now an enlightened mom, Dawn strives to champion the importance of developing her child's intelligence beyond academics, so that he is also people and body smart.
Inspired by the findings of Dr. Armstrong, Dawn shares, “I used to believe that the success of a child begins with making sure they get high grades. Today, children should not only be mentally strong, but socially adept, and physically healthy as well. As a mom who better understands the importance of multiple intelligence, I hope to inspire other moms to be more supportive of developing the child as a whole. Hindi lang pala dapat grades ang ‘kinareer’ ko, the way to success goes beyond just academic performance. That is why, I switched to giving Progress Pre-School GOLD to my children because I know that it promotes the development of multiple intelligence.”
Progress Pre-School GOLD is a growing-up milk expertly designed to meet the nutritional needs of children 4 to 7 years of age. Progress Pre-School GOLD has always been at the forefront of pioneering innovations for a child’s health and development. The science behind the milk is the GOLD Biofactors System; a unique combination of nutrients working together to support the multidimensional areas of a child’s development. The nutrition found in Progress Pre-School GOLD plays a crucial role in the development of the multiple intelligence of a child.
