Social Media Helps Boost Confidence of Young Generation

helps girls reveal “Gandang Di Mo Inakala”

In today’s digital age, young people live most of their lives consuming social media - a phenomenon that has changed the landscape for growing up and development.

Studies from the University of Georgia show that social media empowers girls to become more confident by helping them overcome inhibitions they would normally exhibit in face-to-face interactions. Social media creates opportunities for them to develop their personality, as well as gain validation and acceptance from peers.

This led to an unexpected trend. Taking inspiration from hit movie “Must Be Love” starring Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, girls all over the country used Kathryn’s character as inspiration to discover their own beauty. Young Filipinas responded by posting Before-and-After photos of themselves, showing remarkable transformations. #GandangDiMoInakala made ripples on the cyberscene – and even prompted some funny submissions from local icons.
