Upcoming sexy star Yam Concepcion debuts on the cover of FHM
The sexy movies are making a comeback in our industry and so does the new class of sexy stars. Viva Entertainment’s first of a new batch of sexy actresses Yam Concepcion bares her inner temptress as she debuts on the cover of FHM Philippines’ October issue.
Headlining the return of skin films and doing a cover for FHM has always been the plan for the sultry newcomer. Originally from the local band Ursa Minor, Yam got discovered by Claire dela Fuente from a music video she did for another local band Mayonnaise. “I had no acting experience prior to that video,” Yam recalls. “[But Viva] told me that they wanted me to be sexy in the mold of Cristine Reyes, doing teleseryes, being the leading woman,” she tells FHM.
In the essence of the return of sexy movies, toplessness was not an issue for Yam as she bravely posed for the camera during the cover shoot. Yam shares to FHM, “Anything namanthat’s very challenging or different is scary at first. But I knew I had to be professional about it…ayoko nung nandito na ako tapos biglang mag-iinarte pa. I’d rather work well with the people who are around me.”
The bombshell image that Yam currently portrays may come as a surprise to her friends in the music scene but thanks to her role in the upcoming sexy film Rigodon which is directed by Erik Matti, Yam is compelled to be more attuned to her sensuality. “I watched films and researched. We had acting and sensual workshops that helped me to be comfortable in my own skin,” says Yam. “Mahirap basahin yung character ko [sa Rigodon] – hindi makabasag-pinggan but you would be shocked to see what she’s capable of doing,” she adds.
