DAWN Zulueta and Boboy Garrovillo lead a talented ensemble of actors sa pelikulang
“Ang Nawawala,” ang debut full-length feature film ng commercial at music video director na
si Marie Jamora. Ito ang kanyang official entry sa New Breed Full-length Feature category ng
2012 Cinemalaya Film Festival.
Supported by the National Commission on Culture and the Arts (NCCA), sinulat nina
Jamora at ni Ramon De Veyra ang “Ang Nawawala.”
Isang family drama ang “Ang Nawawala” na naka-sentro kay Gibson Bonifacio (played
by Dominic Roco) who stopped speaking nung siya ay bata pa. Now twenty years old,
nagbabalik si Gibson sa Maynila mula sa kanyang pag-aaral abroad, ang una niyang pagbisita
sa loob ng tatlong taon. He finds his family trying to keep it together as his mother (played by
Dawn Zulueta) is still hurting dahil sa isang tragic loss in the past.
Against the vibrant backdrop ng ating local music scene, nakipag-reconnect sa kanya
ang kanyang childhood best friend as he unexpectedly finds a chance at a first, real romantic
relationship. Sa gitna ng holidays, nireconsider and niredefine ni Gibson ang kanyang
relationship sa kanyang pamilya, mga kaibigan, at sa kanyang sarili.
“Ang Nawawala” is a project almost 10 years in development. This film is composed of
images, characters, scenes, and dialogue Jamora has been collecting mula pa noong college
days niya at sa kanyang mga taon bilang isang Film major sa Columbia University.
“This is my dream film,” sabi ni Jamora. “Ilang taon ko nang iniisip ang pelikulang ito.
And there is nothing better than being able to make it with some of my best friends, who also
happen to be very good at their jobs. I have never been so happy on a set in my life. It’s also
because of our cast. Nakuha ko po lahat ng mga gusto kong katrabaho sa pelikulang ito.”

Veteran and award-winning actress Dawn Zulueta on the other hand, sa isa sa mga bida
ng top-rating series ng ABS-CBN, ang phenomenal na “Walang Hanggan” admitted that she
was very impressed with the script and vision of Jamora. Dawn says that she really found the
time from her very hectic schedule para makapag-shooting siya para sa “Ang Nawawala.”
“Kakaiba ang role ko sa pelikulang ito. Iba siya sa ibang mga character na ginampanan ko sa
pelikula at telebisyon. I just said to myself that I have to do this right after I read the script,”
sabi pa ni Dawn.
The film also features performances from some of the best bands and artists in the
country gaya ng Sandwich, Pedicab, The Itchyworms, Hannah + Gabi, Flying Ipis, Outerhope,
Tarsius, at si Ebe Dancel – many of whom wrote original songs for the film.
